Scrapbook, 1931-1944.

Scrapbook compiled by Keran Whalen, a Lodi, Wis. native, who served aboard the USS Oahu and USS Mindanao with the United States South China Patrol Force between World War I and World War II patrolling the Yangtze River. The scrapbook contains items collected by Whalen while serving in the Navy including ticket stubs, hotel advertisements, Christmas celebration menus, and Chinese money. There are labels from beer bottles, scattered orders, and programs for shipboard activities. There are two pictures of the ships found in the scrapbook.
